Hello hello! 13rd of  2009
As a general update, I'm looking into updating Transient Angel's code again to keep up with changing times! It's easier said than done, of course. My own web skills seem to be very behind, these days, so it's all a bit intimidating. We'll see how it goes!

Today I've added some new photos of my beautiful friend Esmeralda. She is going through some big changes in her life right now, and I send her many hugs and warm thoughts! 
Experimenting 26th of  2009
As you can see, I've posted a few new pictures with a distinctly different style than my usual. I was feeling creative! I used the natural light, my new Speedlight, and whatever clothes seemed interesting and went with the flow of my inspiration. Most of these pictures have a darker tone to them, and attempt to express some darker emotions and poetic concepts. I think they turned out quite well! 
There and Back Again 26th of  2009
After a nice long visit to the USA (which is never long enough), I have a whole big queue of pictures I've been sorting through and editing when I get the chance. So far, I've posted pictures of my darling little niece Rylie and the absolutely gorgeous sunset that I was blessed with on my second day back in Belgium.  I've never seen the sky like that before in this part of the world. Aren't those colours amazing?

My name is Stefanie Montenegro, and I'm an American living in Brussels, Belgium, at the political heart of the European Union. I love taking photographs. I never cease to be amazed at the seemingly magical ability to capture a person, place, animal or object in a certain light and from a certain angle, in such a way as to reveal and share a secret message with those who care to see. There is so much astounding beauty all around us, in both the obvious locations and in the simplest of mundane items that we might otherwise overlook.

The journey continues. Every day and with every photo I learn something new. Sometimes the photographs I share are pure and unedited. Other times, I am inspired to manipulate the images or create poetic compositions. I consider my photography to be an evolving art, a means of conveying thoughts and feelings that are beyond words.
